Transport In Hong Kong Part 1

This time I'm going to write about the public transport in Hong Kong.

Transport from airport

So after you arrived at Hong Kong in the Hong Kong International Airport, you will have few ways to get to your hotel.

1: Airport Express
The Airport Express is the fastest way to the urban area. They said that the train can take you to the Hong Kong Island in 24 minutes. But it is also the most expensive public transport. You can also change to the MTR (subway)
network and go to other places (I'll introduce to you next) (recommend for families or with lots of luggage)

2: Airport Bus

You can go to more places (no need to change buses) by bus. It's also more comfortable than the train. The fare is cheaper than the train but it takes more time and you need to risk for traffic jams (recommend for backpackers and the ones who want to save money. The "A" lines are much quicker but more expensive than the "E"lines

Public Transport in Hong Kong

MTR (Subway)

MTR is the most convenient transport, you can go to most tourist attrations by it. There are 11 lines all over Hong Kong:
Kwun Tong Line ( Middle and East Kowloon)
Tseung Kwan O line (New Territories)
Tsun Wan Line (Middle and west Kowloon)
Island Line (Hong Kong Island)
East Rail Line (East New Territories)
West Rail Line (West New Territories)
Ma On Shan Line (Ma On Shan)
Airport Express (Airport)
Tung Chung Line (Tung Chung)
Disneyland Resort Line (Disneyland)
Light Rail (West New Territories)

But there's one bad point about MTR: THERE ARE LOTS OF PEOPLE!!!!!! You will have a fast but uncomfortable journey.
Recommend for: business man and if you are in a hurry
Buses

All of the buses in Hong Kong are air-conditioned, so you don't need to worry about the hot weather in summer!
There are mainly 4 bus companies in Hong Kong

KMB (Kowloon, New Territories)

City Bus (Hong Kong Island)

New World First Bus (NWFB) (Hong Kong Island)

New Lantau Bus (NLB) (Lantau Island)

There are lots of routes all over Hong Kong. There are less passengers on buses(Mostly) than in the MTR. But sometime, they loose bus trips and you need to risk traffic jams.
Recommend for: Families, couples (if you are not in a hurry and want to have a comfortable journey)
