Hong Kong International Airport

When you come to Hong Kong by air, you will arrive at the Hong Kong International Airport, the 2nd biggest airport in the world.   There are two terminals: Terminal 1 and 2. Terminal 2 is just for checking in so if you are checking in at Terminal 2, you still need to ride the transit system to board the plane at Terminal 1. In my experience, you need to arrive at the airport 3 hours before the takeoff. But luckily, the customs are fast. Mostly you just need to wait for 5-10 minutes.

This time I will write about more transports in Hong Kong 1. Minibus Minibus are 16 seats buses operated by lots of companies. They go to many places and is much more quicker than buses and MTR. The trips are very unstable and you need to risk on no seats and traffic jams. You also need to shout out 'stop at xxx (e.g.parking lot in front)' to get off.  Not all the drivers know English so if you want to get off. you may need to get help from other passengers. There are 2 types of minibus Green Minibus More stable, safer and have stops. But less routes and slower. Red Minibus Very unstable trips, you need to do what you do to get a taxi to get on the Red minibus. But it is faster. Also, it is more expensive. Not recommend for new tourists Taxi Taxis are expensive in Hong Kong.  There are 3 types of taxis in Hong Kong Red Taxi (Kowloon and Hong Kong Island) Most expensive  Green Taxi (New Territories)  Less expensive Blue Taxi (Lantau I...

Transport from airport So after you arrived at Hong Kong in the Hong Kong International Airport, you will have few ways to get to your hotel. 1: Airport Express The Airport Express is the fastest way to the urban area. They said that the train can take you to the Hong Kong Island in 24 minutes. But it is also the most expensive public transport. You can also change to the MTR (subway) network and go to other places (I'll introduce to you next) (recommend for families or with lots of luggage) 2: Airport Bus You can go to more places (no need to change buses) by bus. It's also more comfortable than the train. The fare is cheaper than the train but it takes more time and you need to risk for traffic jams (recommend for backpackers and the ones who want to save money. The "A" lines are much quicker but more expensive than the "E"lines "A" lines "E"...

Introduce to Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a part of China in Asia. It is a very small place with both skyscrapers and countryside. The transport is also very convenient here. We have MTR (subway) and lots others (I'll talk about it later). The signs here in Hong Kong is mostly Chinese and English. So you don't need to worry about the language here. Hong Kong is one of the most crowded city in the world. So you need to be prepared for it (especially tourist attractions!)
